I am pleased to announce that this summer I will be heading to Nova Scotia to offer a talk and workshop at Venus Envy the weekend of August 12-13th! If you’re a parent or birth worker looking to learn more about sex, intimacy, and relationships during pregnancy and postpartum you can register at Venus Envy now! Check out the details below:
In this talk we will critically examine heteronormative sexuality and how this limits sex in pregnancy and postpartum, discuss common obstacles expressing sexuality in the pregnancy and postpartum period, and learn how to make educated referrals for our clients when necessary. This talk has been created for professionals who work with families during pregnancy and postpartum, such as doulas, midwives, nurses, prenatal educators, sex educators, etc.
Pleasure is important to our health and well-being. Having children, whether you’re co-parenting with others or going solo, can have a huge impact on your sexual health and relationships. In this workshop, we will discuss common obstacles in postpartum sexuality, identify different ways to experience pleasure with your partner, and map out your sexy space!
