When I was a young wide-eyed University kid, I looked up to Come As You Are as the gold standard for good sex business! CAYA is a business cooperative sex shop located in Toronto. Though they used to have a beautiful, accessible, and colourful store front they now have a beautiful, accessible, colourful online store.
I have been proudly making sensual, edible, all natural, massage oils for CAYA for over 3yrs now. In fact, they were the first shop to take a chance on me and the products I developed with Tracey Tief at Anarres Apothecary. I will forever be grateful for their enthusiasm for the work I do and did. Noah Kloeze has been particularly kind in sifting through my streams of panicked emails and delivery updates. He has always been forthcoming with feedback in the best compliment sandwiches, though every staff I’ve encountered has offered encouragement and help. I really can’t speak their praises enough.
I also have to thank them for their patience. I was working out a lot of kinks (pun intended) when I was getting started in product making. Caps leaked, labels blurred (labels are my nemesis), lip balms melted, oils spilled… It was a hot mess (pun #2! I’m on fire… pun within my pun shout out?? Today is a glorious day). But they kept rooting for me and they were generous and encouraging as I tried to develop a safe, all natural product that people could enjoy and afford.

This will be my first year participating in the fair, but knowing CAYA ’s enthusiastic spirit and social consciousness, I am confident this will be a great success!
